Greater Ben­e­fits for Employees un­der Amend­ment No. 4 to the So­cial Se­cu­rity Act B. E. 2533

The re­cently ap­proved Amend­ment No. 4 to the So­cial Se­cu­rity Act B. E. 2533 ( Amend­ment) pro­vides sig­nif­i­cant im­prove­ments to ben­e­fits for in­sured per­sons. Changes range from an in­crease in the num­ber of chil­dren that are el­i­gi­ble for child wel­fare com­pen­sa­tion to the ex­ten­sion of the pe­riod in which the in­sured per­son could ap­ply to re­ceive com­pen­sa­tion ben­e­fits. The Amend­ment was ap­proved by the Na­tional Leg­isla­tive As­sem­bly on March 5, 2015 and pub­lished in the Royal Gazette on June 22, 2015. The Amend­ment will take ef­fect at the end of Oc­to­ber 2015.
