Joint Cham­bers Net­work­ing & Cha­trium Christ­mas Tree Light­ing Cer­e­mony

On De­cem­ber 7, the for­eign cham­bers of com­merce in Myan­mar gath­ered for a net­work­ing evening and en­joyed the Christ­mas Tree Light­ing cer­e­mony at the Cha­trium Royal Lake Yan­gon. The event was or­ga­nized by the Amer­i­can Cham­ber of Com­merce in Myan­mar ( AMCHAM Myan­mar) and spon­sored by Cha­trium Royal Lake Yan­gon.

The fes­tive event at­tracted over 300 par­tic­i­pants from the for­eign cham­bers and busi­ness as­so­ci­a­tions in Myan­mar, as well as Em­bassy of­fi­cers in­clud­ing U. S. Am­bas­sador to Myan­mar Derek Mitchell, Royal Thai Am­bas­sador to Myan­mar, Pisanu Su­vana­jata, and Turk­ish Am­bas­sador to Myan­mar, Murat Yavuz Ates.

Choirs from Cha­trium, Saint Barn­abas Church, and chil­dren from the Ky­i­mindaing Blind School made the at­mos­phere even more joy­ful with ren­di­tions of pop­u­lar Christ­mas songs.

In keep­ing with the sea­son’s spirit of gen­eros­ity the event raised 1,020,000 Ky­ats for the Ky­i­mindaing Blind School. A num­ber of busi­nesses pro­vided prod­ucts On Novem­ber 20 at the U. S. Em­bassy in Yan­gon, AMCHAM Myan­mar mem­bers gath­ered to hear a briefing on cur­rent is­sues, in­clud­ing the re­cent gen­eral elec­tions, by U. S. Am­bas­sador Derek Mitchell.
