Commerce Ministry lists 17 new out- of- quota agricultural producers
In February, the Thai Ministry of Commerce issued an updated notification on the guidelines, procedures and conditions for importers qualified for WTO bound duty rate on 17 agricultural products subject to import quotas. These products are raw milk and pasteurized milk, skim milk powder, potatoes, onions, garlics, coconuts and grated coconuts, dried longans, coffee beans, tea, peppers, rice, dried coconut meat, onion seeds, soya oil, coconut oil, coffee products and raw silk. Persons eligible to qualify for the in- quota WTO bound rate tariffs must register with the Department of Foreign Trade via on- line application with the Department of Foreign Trade and meet the requirements for the in- quota application.
