Com­merce Min­istry lists 17 new out- of- quota agri­cul­tural pro­duc­ers

In Fe­bru­ary, the Thai Min­istry of Com­merce is­sued an up­dated no­ti­fi­ca­tion on the guide­lines, pro­ce­dures and con­di­tions for im­porters qual­i­fied for WTO bound duty rate on 17 agri­cul­tural prod­ucts sub­ject to im­port quo­tas. Th­ese prod­ucts are raw milk and pas­teur­ized milk, skim milk pow­der, pota­toes, onions, garlics, co­conuts and grated co­conuts, dried lon­gans, coffee beans, tea, pep­pers, rice, dried co­conut meat, onion seeds, soya oil, co­conut oil, coffee prod­ucts and raw silk. Per­sons el­i­gi­ble to qual­ify for the in- quota WTO bound rate tar­iffs must reg­is­ter with the Depart­ment of For­eign Trade via on- line ap­pli­ca­tion with the Depart­ment of For­eign Trade and meet the re­quire­ments for the in- quota ap­pli­ca­tion.
