Commerce Ministry prohibits import and export of eight items
The Ministry of Commerce issued a new notification to prohibit the import or export of eight types of products from Thailand. Effective as of February 12, 2016, the products include: 1 Counterfeit brand- name products; 2. Cassette tapes, compact disks, video tapes, computer programs, books or other product that is reproduced by copying or modification of third party copyrighted works; 3. Barakus, electronic barakus or electronic cigarettes; 4. Gaming machines, both the complete sets and with a significant char- acteristic of being complete sets or parts; 5. Elephants; 6. Deity replicas and parts, and Buddha replicas and parts; 7. Antiquities with rules of origins in foreign countries; 8. Caffeine. For more information contact Grant Thornton at Tanva.
