On May 12, the com­mit­tee met at the Rem­brandt Ho­tel Bangkok for a pre­sen­ta­tion on In­no­va­tions in Sus­tain­abil­ity for Ur­ban Ho­tels: Im­prov­ing Ex­pe­ri­ence, Com­mu­nity En­gage­ment, and the Bot­tom Line, de­liv­ered by Eric Ri­cau­rte, Founder & CEO and Grace Kang, Man­ag­ing Part­ner of Green­view. On May 18, the com­mit­tee met at AMCHAM’S Citi Board­room to hear about the dig­i­tal econ­omy, its chal­lenges and op­por­tu­ni­ties from Adam Sch­warz, CEO and Founder of Asia Group Ad­vi­sors. On May 24 the com­mit­tee met in AMCHAM’S Citi Board­room to hear Win Phromphaet, Chief In­vest­ment Of­fi­cer at CIMB- Prin­ci­pal As­set Man­age­ment, speak about the pend­ing Thai re­tire­ment sav­ings short­fall. Hu­man Re­sources

On May 13, the com­mit­tee met at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit to hear about re- in­vent­ing work in ASEAN and what a fu­ture- ready or­ga­ni­za­tion looks like from Nontawat Poom­chusri, Coun­try Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor of Ac­cen­ture in Thailand. On May 19, the com­mit­tee met at the AMCHAM Citi Board­room to hear Brian Dardzin­ski, Di­rec­tor of In­ter­na­tional Busi­ness Trans­for­ma­tion at Bum­run­grad Hospi­tal, talk about stem cells as a so­lu­tion to an ag­ing so­ci­ety. Young Pro­fes­sion­als

On May 25, the Young Pro­fes­sion­als Com­mit­tee and friends gath­ered at Hoot­ers Bangkok for a so­cial net­work­ing night and raised Baht 12,900 for the Amer­i­can Cham­ber of Com­merce in Thailand Foun­da­tion’s ( ATF) Adopt- a- School pro­gram. Cor­po­rate So­cial Re­spon­si­bil­ity ( CSR)

On May 26, the com­mit­tee met in AMCHAM’S Citi Board­room to hear about Bum­run­grad’s best CSR prac­tices from Dr. Num Tan­thuwanit, Bum­run­grad Hospi­tal’s CEO. Pic­tured are the speaker and com­mit­tee leader John Dasilva ( cen­ter) with meet­ing at­ten­dees.

Joint Trade & In­vest­ment and Cus­toms & Ex­cise

On June 16, the com­mit­tees met at the JW Mar­riott Bangkok to hear about ASEAN Re­gional Con­nec­tiv­ity from: Paul Sum­ner of Price­wa­ter­house­coop­ers ( PWC) ABAS; Arthur van der Lin­den of RMA Group; and To­bias Gruem­mer of Rhenus Lo­gis­tics. Eastern Seaboard Net­work­ing

On May 27, mem­bers gath­ered at Amari Pat­taya for a net­work­ing evening hosted by the Nether­lands- Thai Cham­ber of Com­merce ( NTCC) and Can­cham and held in con­junc­tion with the Amer­i­can, Bri­tish, Ger­man, Mex­i­can, Sin­ga­porean, South African and Bel­gian- Lux­em­bourg cham­bers of com­merce in Thailand. The event was sponosred by Amari Pat­taya and Best Global Lo­gis­tics. Pic­tured are the lead­ers of par­tic­i­pat­ing cham­bers.

On June 10, com­mit­tee mem­bers gath­ered at the Sher­a­ton Grande Sukhumvit for an in­ter­ac­tive work­shop on creat­ing en­gaged em­ploy­ees fa­cil­i­tated by Sudeep Rai Bhaskar, a trainer with Dale Carnegie. On June 17, mem­bers of the for­eign cham­bers gath­ered at Hard Rock Ho­tel Pat­taya for a net­work­ing evening hosted by AMCHAM and held in con­junc­tion with the Aus­tralian, Bri­tish, Dutch, Ger­man, Mex­i­can, Sin­ga­porean, South African and Bel­gian- Lux­em­bourg cham­bers of com­merce in Thailand. The at­ten­dees mixed and min­gled while en­joy­ing food and bev­er­ages kindly pro­vided by event spon­sors Hard Rock Ho­tel Pat­taya and Wall Street English.
