Joint Chambers Networking Event U. S. Business Delegation Meets with New Myanmar Government
On May 17 and 18, thirty- six members of the AMCHAM Myanmar Chapter, under the leadership of the U. S. Ambassador to Myanmar, Scot Marciel, met a number of newly appointed government officials from thirteen ministries in Nay Pyi Taw: Planning and Finance;
On May 19, at the initiative of AMCHAM’S Myanmar Chapter, twelve foreign chambers of commerce and business associations from Australia, UK, France, Japan, Germany, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Sweden, and Thailand, gathered at Mahlzeit Restaurant for the third Joint Chambers Networking Event. The gathering attracted more than 130 members from various business sectors, who enjoyed finger food and drinks kindly donated by the following sponsors: Mahlzeit Restaurant, Savoy Hotel, Aye Thar Yar Wine, Carlsberg Beer, IBTC - Grand Royal Whiskey, Loi Hein – Wilkinson, and Marbled Black. The event raised almost MMK 900,000 for AMCHAM Myanmar Chapter’s scholarship program.
