On July 13, the com­mit­tee met at Mex­i­cano Restau­rante at the Rem­brandt Ho­tel to hear a pre­sen­ta­tion by Gre­gory M. Wong, Com­mer­cial Counselor, and Ki­ti­sorn Sookpradist, Com­mer­cial Spe­cial­ist, at U. S. Em­bassy Bangkok, about how U. S. ex­porters in Thailand can use the Em­bassy for lever­age. East­ern Se­aboard Net­work­ing

On July 15, mem­bers of the for­eign cham­bers gath­ered at Court­yard by Mar­riott Pat­taya for an East­ern Se­aboard net­work­ing hosted by Austcham and held in con­junc­tion with the Amer­i­can, Bri­tish, Dutch, Ger­man, Mex­i­can, Sin­ga­porean, South African and Bel­gian- Lux­em­bourg cham­bers of com­merce in Thailand. U. S. Se­nate Fi­nance Com­mit­tee Brief­ing

On Au­gust 9, AMCHAM mem­bers met with Everett Eis­sen­stat, Chief In­ter­na­tional Trade Coun­sel, and staffers from the U. S. Se­nate Fi­nance Com­mit­tee for a round­table dis­cus­sion with a fo­cus on busi­ness, trade, and in­tel­lec­tual prop­erty rights.
