On Fe­bru­ary 8, rep­re­sen­ta­tives of AMCHAM Myan­mar and six other for­eign cham­bers of com­merce ( Ger­man Cham­ber, Aus­tralian Cham­ber, Eurocham­ber, Bri­tish Cham­ber, Austcham and French Cham­ber), wel­comed U Tun Tun Hein, chair of the Hlut­taw Bill Com­mit­tee, and U Kyaw Hoe, Chief Coun­sel of Na­tional League for Democ­racy ( NLD), for a din­ner at the Sule Shangri- la Ho­tel to dis­cuss con­cerns re­gard­ing the draft Law Con­cern­ing For­eign­ers. The dis­cus­sion lasted over two hours. The event is part of AMCHAM Myan­mar’s ef­forts to ad­vo­cate for is­sues af­fect­ing mem­bers, both with the Myan­mar and the U. S. govern­ments.
