AMCHAM Events Roundup
On April 22 at the AVANI Riverside Bangkok AMCHAM Thailand rounded up its cowboys and cowgirls for the Governors Ball, the Chamber’s annual gala where AMCHAM’S Honorary Chairman of the Board, U. S. Ambassador Glyn T. Davies, welcomed the new AMCHAM President and the 2017 Board of Governors. Over 450 members donned their country best for the ‘ Country Roundup’ theme, feasted on a fourcourse dinner and signature cocktails by Diageo Moet Hennessy and enjoyed live entertainment by Martin Grand and Danny California Allstars. The highlight of the evening was the Silent Auction where members bid on over 130 items to raise money for the AMCHAM Thailand Foundation’s education programs. The Silent and Live Auctions and the lucky draw raised over Baht 1.6 million that will support deserving, but disadvantaged Thai students through their university education in Thailand. We are grateful to everybody who contributed to make the event a smashing success: the sponsors for their support, the companies that contributed the silent auction and lucky draw prizes, and most of all, our members who opened their hearts and their wallets to improve the quality of education in the Kingdom.
