Eastern Seaboard Networking
On March 17, members of the foreign chambers of Thailand gathered at Courtyard by Marriott South Pattaya for a networking hosted by Austcham in conjunction with AMCHAM, and the Australian, British, German, Mexican, South African, Dutch, Belgian, and Luxembourg chambers of commerce in Thailand. The event was sponsored by Courtyard by Marriott South Pattaya, and Rugby School Thailand.
On March 29, committee members met at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit to learn how to utilize technology and data analytic to improve HR practices. On March 30, the committee and friends gathered at Revolucion Cocktail Bangkok for a social networking night and raised Baht 16,860 for the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand Foundation ( ATF) Adopt- a- School program. On April 27, the committee met at AMCHAM’S Citi Boardroom to hear about trends in Monitoring & Evaluation ( M& E) for CSR projects from Dr. Nitika Tolani, Technical Manager, Education Practice Area, at Management Systems International ( MSI). On April 25, committee members gathered at the Bangkok Marriott Hotel for the Immunity to Change workshop to learn how to become better change- makers. The workshop was led by Srikanth Seshadri, a facilitator, trainer and coach who is focused on helping leaders and teams improve their effectiveness and achieve transformational growth. Joint Business Economics & Energy
On Apr 25, the Business Economics and Energy & Environment committees held a joint meeting at the AMCHAM office to hear about “Thailand’s 2017 Economic Outlook” by Dr. Yunyong Thaicharoen, Chief Strategist at Bank of Thailand. On April 27, the committee teamed up with 10 foreign chambers for an All Chambers Young Professionals networking at Ce La Vi Bangkok Club Lounge. The large crowd helped the YPC raise Baht 48,900 for the Adopt- a- School program.
