2016 ACCOMPLISHMENTS

2016 was the first full year of activities for the Aerospace Committee with 10 monthly meetings held throughout the year. Much of the focus in the first year has been on understanding the various Thai government programs recently put in place to promote Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul ( MRO) aerospace business. Some of the notable speakers included Deputy Secretary General Ajarin Pattanapanchai from the Thailand Board of Investment, Rear Admiral Worapol Tongpricha, Airport Director of the U- Tapao International Airport, and Jacob Siefers, the Regional Director for Sikorsky International products.

Throughout the year the committee identified areas that need emphasis in promoting the aerospace industry in Thailand and has worked to get those issues into the proper government chan- nels in both Thailand and the United States.
