Foreign Chambers Gather in Pattaya to Discuss Thailand 4.0
On May 19, members of ten foreign chambers of commerce, led by the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, gathered at AVANI Pattaya Resort & Spa for a panel discussion on ‘ Thailand 4.0: Plans & Challenges for Harnessing Human Capital.’ Panelists were Dr. Kitipong Promwong, Secretary- General of the Thailand National Science, Technology & Innovation Policy Office ( NST); Jeffrey Nygaard, Senior Vice President & Head of Global Operations & Supply Chain at Seagate Technology and AMCHAM Thailand’s Board President; Somnuek Ngamtrakulchol, Vice President ASEAN of Human Resources at General Motors; Remy Maitam, President at Triumph Aviation Services; and Kevin Camelon, Senior Director of Worldwide Supply Chain at Fabrinet Company.
The panel was followed by a networking evening with the participation of the Australian, British, Canadian, German, Mexican, Singaporean, South African, Belgian, and Dutch chambers of commerce in Thailand. The two events were kindly underwritten by WHA Corporation, Caterpillar ( Thailand), AVANI Pattaya Resort & Spa, and Rugby School Thailand.
