Luncheon briefing with Diane Farrell, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Asia, U. S. Department of Commerce
On May 16, AMCHAM Thailand, in conjunction with the U. S.– ASEAN Business Council ( USABC), hosted a luncheon briefing with Diane Farrell, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Asia at the U. S. Department of Commerce. Attendees at the briefing included representatives from Caterpillar, Seagate, Citibank, Ford Motor Company, IBM, Esso, MSD, Chevron, the Asia Pacific Council of American Chambers ( APCAC), USABC, and the U. S. Embassy in Bangkok. The briefing was an information gathering discussion and exchange of strategic views and policy recommendations on bilateral trade relations between Thailand and the U. S., with particular focus on the U. S. trade deficit with Thailand, sector by sector.
