Skincare tips for keeping your face looking as pretty as a picture
Having radiant, good-looking skin is more important than being beautiful. Busy yet awesomely vibrant, businesswoman Hattaya Wongkrachang, the managing director of Studio 888, shares her tips for a fresh look.
“Now that my children are studying at university, my focus is on my work. Running a 24-hour live radio station is a tough job. When I get up each day my first thought is to check the status of the station. It is imperative for me to have a good night’s sleep so that I am sharp during the day,” she explains.
With such a demanding job, Hattaya, known affectionately as Ple, says it is important to keep good health in mind. “It’s about making the right choices. First I sleep well. Then I mind what I drink and eat. I make it a point to drink a lot of water and abstain from beef, keeping to more healthy food choices like fish. I used to exercise a lot. I played tennis, ran, biked and swam but now that I am busier, I have less time to work out. However, I make sure that I stay active all day by doing a lot of walking in the office.”
But the best tip, Hattaya explains, is choosing what is right for your skin. “I don’t usually apply much make-up, unless I have to attend an event or meet important clients, so having nice skin matters more to me. I make sure that I clean my face well and moisturise my skin before going to bed. My choice is Synactif from Cle de Peau Beaute. In my facial care routine I emphasise caring for my eyes with Synactif Eye Care Ritual. The next step is Synactif Nighttime Moisturizer. This is very intensive, which is important for refreshing the skin and allowing it to rejuvenate overnight. For the daytime I choose the Synactif Daytime Moisturizer. It has a light and radiant finish.”
Hattaya says that a beautiful face means nothing without good skin. “Caring for the skin is important. You may have beautiful facial features and proportions but they will be wasted if you don’t have the perfect canvas to go with them.”
Her final tip is on health in general. “People are incredibly busy nowadays, thus it is important to take the small, easy but necessary steps to look after your health. Breakfast is an important meal—don’t skip it— and keep yourself well hydrated with regular glasses of water. Squeeze some exercise in too if you can, it will keep you fit and also help you to manage stress better.” n
