STRIKE A CORD

Here’s a ’70s trend we’re more than happy to see make a comeback

Thailand Tatler - - STYLE NEWS -

While there are many fashion moments we’d rather not revisit from the ’70s (shiny figure skater-inspired shirts, may you rest in peace), tan corduroy pants and matching jackets are among the few we’d happily resuscitate. Fashion houses young and old are incorporating this tried-andtrue textile back into their main collections, but with a modern spin, of course. Now found in sport coat silhouettes and cropped pants, this is a trend that’s easy to filter into your contemporary wardrobe. The gentle, reflective glint also happens to add a touch of sophistication to an otherwise casual fabric, making it the perfect transitional piece in every sense of the word, from summer-to-fall or day-to-evening dressing.
