MCOT launches revamped schedule for Family 14 channel
MCOT Plc yesterday introduced a revamped schedule for its MCOT Family 14 television channel, with a line-up of cartoon and animation programmes, Chinese series, variety shows and sports.
Adhering to the concept of youth and family, programmes suitable for all family members will account for 46 per cent of the channel’s content proportion, in compliance with the children’s-content requirements of the National Broadcast and Telecommunications Commission.
This is the first overhaul since the listed company acquired its children’s channel licence from the regulator in 2014, president Kematat Paladesh said yesterday.
The new programming of MCOT Family 14, which comes into effect next month, is expected to better meet the needs of audiences and increase viewership, he said.
