CAR BOMBER AT­TACKS NATO PA­TROL IN AFGHANISTAN, CAUS­ING IN­JURIES

A car bomber at­tacked a pa­trol of troops in the NATO-led Res­o­lute Sup­port mis­sion in the south­ern Afghan city of Kan­da­har on Friday, wound­ing some mem­bers of the pa­trol, the in­ter­na­tional coali­tion said. "A small num­ber of Res­o­lute Sup­port ser­vice mem­bers were wounded to­day when a ve­hi­cle-borne im­pro­vised ex­plo­sive de­vice tar­geted their pa­trol in Kan­da­har," the coali­tion said in a state­ment. The wounded were taken to Kan­da­har Air­field hos­pi­tal for treat­ment, it said, but it gave no de­tails about their na­tion­al­ity.
