Domestic sales of white goods in January rose 24.6 percent year-onyear in to 538,000, according to Ata Invest’s sector evaluation. Total sales are expected reach a record 7.8 million units by the end of 2017. Despite price increases in the white-goods sector, the reduction in the excise tax from
6.7 percent to zero for a four-month period supports a positive outlook for February. Domestic demand is expected to continue its upward trend until the end of April, it said.
