Tourism from China to Turkey

The first concrete steps were taken in a co-operation project that Turkey hopes will earn it a slice of China’s foreign tourism pie. More than 150 million tourists leave China to spend $300 billion a year. A strategic cooperation agreement was signed between the Chinese real estate giant Dalian Wanda Group and Turkey’s Mar Yapi in areas where the Chinese group operates, especially hotel and residential operations. As the first step of the agreement, Wanda Wista Istanbul Hotel will host Chinese tourists from 2018. Wanda will also market Mar Yapi’s 300 residences in the project in Istanbul Ikitelli to Chinese investors.
