Who is Mario Diel?

Mario Diel started his career as commercial director at Strabag, a German construction giant. In 1993, he became an entrepreneur and was a co-founder of several companies in Germany and eastern Europe. Two years later, he decided to focus his business activities in the international oil-trade sector and operates from the United States, eastern Europe and Turkey. More than 12 years ago, he was a co-founder of ConBridge Advisory Group, which has become a leading advisory group in Turkey and the region. For the last five years, he has also served as president of Alpiq, one of Europe’s leading energy groups in the Black Sea and southern Europe region. He is active on the boards of several international and Turkish corporations, such as BON Elektrik, NRW, Bahcesehir University Graduate School of Business, Fichtner Engineers, World PetroChem Holding S.A, Stadler Rail Group, Allocate Consultants. He is also a lecturer at Bahcesehir University. Diel is an energy expert with a special focus on electricity, oil and gas trading. He has lived and worked in Turkey since 1997. Recently, he has begun working in Greece, with a focus on tourism, construction and investment.
