Plea to deal with traffic congestion in Jebel Ali

7 Days in Dubai - - DEAR 7DAYS... -

This is a request for the authorities to look at the traffic congestion situation, usually in Fridays, due to the worshippers attending the many churches and the Gurunanak Darbar sikh temple in Jebel Ali. On Fridays, thousands of people gather in this complex to worship. There is only one route to and from the area and that is via the D59 with a very small traffic circle that was not designed for such heavy traffic. As a result, there are long tailbacks on the intersection and down the slow lanes of both sides of SZR and the roads around the residential complexes and the hospital in the area are in a complete gridlock for most of the day. This is compounded at prayer time when worshipers go to the mosque next to the traffic circle. Please look at constructing more access, such as a road linked to the E77 for people to come and go and ease the congestion. Gina, UAE
