$600 taxi fare ‘dodged’
A woman has been accused of dodging a $600 fare after police say she took a taxi 217km from New York to her Pennsylvania home. US authorities say the cab arrived at Kelli Boyer’s house in Denver, Pennsylvania, at around 1am on Sunday and she told the driver she would be back in a few minutes to pay the fare. When she didn’t return he called police. Police say officers made several attempts to contact the 44-year-old woman but she refused to answer her door or phone. She has been charged with theft of services.
