Donald Trump has vowed to stand by his campaign manager who has been charged with simple battery following an altercation with a reporter that was caught on video. Corey Lewandowski, political adviser to the Republican front-runner in the race for the White House, has been ordered to appear in a Florida court on May 4 on a misdemeanour charge. Police charged Lewandowski after reviewing a surveillance video of the incident, obtained from security at the Trump- owned property, which shows Lewandowski grabbing Michelle Fields, as she tried to ask Trump a question. But Trump said: “I’m not going to let a person’s life be destroyed. No jury would convict a man on what you witnessed. She grabbed me. Do I press charges.?”
