Reader’s idea for dormitories to ease accommodation woes gets thumbs up

“Dormitories with 2 to a room is a good idea. A locker for each so they can keep their things securely. With common bathrooms on each floor and a common room with kitchen and dining tables and seating areas for their down time on each floor. They work hard and deserve to have down time in a comfortable place. Maybe put in a TV for them. They can have movie nights and play cards or just chat. It will make for happier and more rested workers. The workers can be in charge of keeping their space clean. You can't possibly think that squeezing 10 to a room that any of them are getting a good nights rest? They are human beings. Treat them humanely.”

“Affordable housing proportionate to their salaries...or make the employer increase their accommodation allowance. I do hate to see people being taken highly advantage of...by the greed of company owners! Maybe an introduction of a ‘living salary’ like in the UK would be beneficial.”

LYNN DAVISON

“I hope one day our wishes and dreams will come true. Give people decent living. Affordable flats to share. Look around us, plenty of buildings that are empty it is because the rent is too high. One day I hope they will build something bigger, higher, widest, nicest. Name all the superlatives for the people to feel what is luxury life all about.”
