Cloudy days forecast with rising humidity and heat
The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has said the forecast for the next 48 hours is expected to be fair to partly cloudy, with clouds increasing in the west of the country, with a chance of light rain during the daytime. The weather centre also said to expect moderate winds in general, which may freshen at times, causing blowing dust and sand over exposed areas. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, 15-25kph over land and 18-28kph over sea, reaching 38kph at times, it added. The NCMS outlook is for fair to partly cloudy weather, with light to moderate winds. Relative humidity is likely to increase during the night and early morning over some coastal areas. Yesterday afternoon, global forecaster AccuWeather placed the temperature at 31C in Dubai and 33C in Abu Dhabi. This is forecast to rise to 38C in Dubai this weekend and 40C in Abu Dhabi.
