Prostitutes on trial for theft
Punter claims they stole Dhs47,000
A prostitute is accused of luring a man to have sex with her for Dhs20 while another woman stole Dhs47,000 from his trousers.
Dubai Court of First Instance was told the two Ugandan women, both aged 26, lured the Pakistani salesman to a flat in the Naif area to have sex with them then stole his money.
Prosecutors said that, on March 8 this year, the 28-year-old salesman was ordered by his employer to transfer Dhs47,000 to Pakistan and he put the money inside his pocket and walked to the wire company.
On the way, he met one of the women.
“I saw her standing on the street and when she winked at me and I knew she was a prostitute, so I asked her for sex and she agreed to have sex with me for Dhs20,” the salesman said in official records.
The man said he took off his clothes and had sex with her at a nearby apartment then left.
“I was walking when I noticed the money was missing. I returned back to the apartment but no one was there and I knew that I had been robbed and called Dubai Police,” he said.
Officers arrived and searched for the women, arresting both of them.
They allegedly admitted that one of them had sex with the salesman while the other went through his trousers and found the Dhs47,000.
The two women were charged with prostitution and theft. The salesman was also charged with having an illegal affair with one of the women.
The women confessed to working as prostitutes but one of them denied theft, although the other confessed to stealing the money.
The man failed to show in court. A verdict is due to be issued at a hearing later this month.
