Official records stated that the Ethiopian maid was killed early in 2014 after a fight broke out between the wife and the victim. Prosecutors said the wife beat the maid unconscious with a stick, which caused her death. Her husband was then said to have poured acid on her body to try to hide her identity. The body was later dumped in Al Ajban desert in Abu Dhabi during the night. The pair were arrested after police found the woman’s body.
