Etihad executive lands top job
Etihad Airways CEO and President James Hogan has been given a promotion. Hogan, who has served in his current role since September 2006, has been appointed Etihad Aviation Group President and Chief Executive Officer. Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, the group chairman, said: “Etihad Airways has been steadily evolving into the Etihad Aviation Group for a number of years. This has been driven by the formation of new companies, including Etihad Airways Engineering, Etihad Global Cargo Management Company... and Etihad Airport Services.” Peter Baumgartner will take on the role of Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways. He joined the airline in April 2005 from Swiss International Air Lines.
