Investor slain with silenced pistol in Marina hit
Police are investigating the killing of a property investor who was shot nine times during an organised hit in Dubai Marina, writes Ali Al Shouk. General Khamis Mattar Al Muzaina, Chief of Dubai Police, revealed details of the assassination during the Federal National Council session yesterday. He said the Iranian national was shot seven times in the head before his attackers fled. Al Muzaina did not state where the killing took place. He said: “The incident happened last Wednesday after midnight, when they shot him in the head seven times. “They also shot him with two bullets in his body using Russian and Austrian pistols.” He said the suspects are Iranian and Canadian passport holders but originally come from Colombia and India. He continued: “They planned the murder and rented cars and some of them even left the country before the murder [took place].” A police source told 7DAYS the victim was sitting in his car when shot. He said: “Nobody heard the shots and security guard found him later in pool of blood. It’s a revenge operation. The suspects have criminal records in their countries.” The probe continues.
