Youth coun­cil leads way

A new group of ad­vi­sors will guide UAE youth into the fu­ture, the Youth Coun­cil an­nounced yes­ter­day. The Min­is­ter of Youth Af­fairs, Shamma al Mazrouei, also con­firmed the ap­point­ment of 100 con­sul­tants to the Ad­vi­sors Group and the launch of a new smart plat­form to ad­vise youth on some on the most im­por­tant is­sues of their time. As part of the min­istry’s 100day plan, the group will work to­wards boost­ing knowl­edge of in­no­va­tion, man­age­ment, mar­ket­ing, lead­er­ship and plan­ning among Emi­rati youth, the 22-year-old min­is­ter said. The coun­cil also con­firmed the launch of a smart plat­form aim­ing to broaden the reach, scope and hori­zons of Youth Cir­cles, a se­ries of na­tion­wide dis­cus­sions to pro­mote com­mu­ni­ca­tion and un­der­stand­ing among youth. Young people will also be in­tro­duced to the coun­cil’s of­fi­cial so­cial me­dia chan­nels to share their ex­pe­ri­ences of their chal­lenges and po­ten­tial so­lu­tions, she added. Af­ter the first Youth Cir­cles ses­sion last month, Al Mazrouei said: “The Emi­rati youth have dis­played high level aware­ness on key is­sues and showed keen in­ter­est.”
