Support for Yemeni firms
The UAE is to support small businesses in Yemen with the allocation of $20 million in funding, national news agency WAM reported. HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, directed the initiative, which will be supervised by the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and will include the cities of Aden and Al Mukalla in the first stage. It will then be implemented in other provinces and cities. The initiative is intended to help strengthen the performance of the Yemeni economy and provide job opportunities for Yemenis.
