Kit Harington revealed the fate of his Game of Thrones character to get out of a speeding ticket. The 29-year-old actor - who stars as Jon Snow in the series - was driving back from his parents’ house when he got caught speeding and was offered a chance to get out of it if he revealed the fate of the popular character. Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he said: “One policeman knew. He said, ‘Look, there’s two ways we could do this. You can either follow me back to the police sta- tion now and I book you in, or you can tell me whether you live in the next series of Game of Thrones’.”

When Kit confirmed his character would still be alive, the officer told him: “On your way Lord Commander. Keep the speed down this far south of the wall.”

Kit has previously apologised to fans for lying to them when he said Jon Snow was dead, only for the character to come back to life in series six, which is currently showing on OSN.

Kit has also been talking about girlfriend and former co-star Rose Leslie, whom he met on set .

He said: “If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love.” Gigi Hadid says social media has “taken the dumb model stereotype away”. The 21-year-old - who is dating Zayn Malik - feels she has “much more control” over who she is because of the profiles she has on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. She said: “We’ve just been given a gift as a generation of being able to show our own personality and have so much control over the person we are to the public, and not just being a face on a page. I think social media has taken the dumb model stereotype away.” And Gigi also offered advice to her fellow avid social media users, insisting none of the negative comments on sites are “real”. She added to Mashable: “Just realising how it’s not real, how none of it’s real. If all technology just shut down today, all of those comment feeds would just be nothing so you have to focus on your own strength regardless of that stuff and try and find yourself without that stuff.” However, Gigi previously admitted she considered quitting modelling because of online critics. She shared: “I am human and try not to read it all the time - but it does get to me, I think that when you go through something like that, and you’re really almost letting it affect what you think of yourself - it was getting to a place where I was almost like, ‘Should I be here?’ And I was like, ‘ This isn’t okay. I shouldn’t be questioning doing my job because people are being mean on the Internet’.”
