Enforce a dress code or don’t have one at all

7 Days in Dubai - - PUZZLES -

Hotels and restaurants need to stop pandering to arrogant patrons and actually enforce their dress codes or, if they don’t have the backbone to impose their own “strict” dress policies, get rid of them. Don’t get me wrong, if a Smart Casual Brunch means shorts, I’ll be the first to don a pair of tailored shorts and a polo shirt instead of long trousers. My problem arises when I call a restaurant to check and they say “Strictly No Shorts” for either sex and “collared shirts” for men then the first three people I see are two guys in shorts and t-shirts and a woman in hot pants so tiny that she looks like she’s forgotten to get dressed.
