Volunteers celebrate 100 weeks of reaching out to labourers

7 Days in Dubai - - DEAR 7DAYS... -

“This is a great achievement but it misses the point, why aren’t the companies who hire the labourers under UAE law taking care of their people to begin with?”

HADI FA

“Why isn’t the government looking into these companies a bit closer? Some don’t pay their labourers...don’t provide food or water. How is this even legal???? There is nobody protecting or defending the rights of these men and thats all ok? They depend on volunteers to grant their rights? This is a disgrace.”

LUCIANA TAYLOR

“If the labourers were paid enough they wouldn’t need to have volunteers giving them food as they struggle to survive. Minimum wage seriously needs to be installed in this country. Fair days pay for a fair days work.”
