Chaos: Almost amusing to watch drivers refusing to give way to each other

7 Days in Dubai - - DEAR 7 DAYS... -

In response to the letter ‘Why is it so difficult for people to give way on the roads here’ (May 25) I also wondered why so many people behave like that. These people are maybe socially underdeveloped; have no capacity to live in social harmony together with others. They most likely express the same lack of consideration to others in many aspects of their lives. They are the same people that cause traffic deadlocks by just pushing their car nose in front of other cars, just because they cannot wait for their turn; I noticed this behaviour last Friday at 1pm at Jebel Ali Village entrance. It was almost amusing to look at hundreds of drivers trying to get at the same time out of the parking lot causing chaos. Nobody wanted to give an inch. They should all be ashamed of themselves Ed B Dubai
