UAE leads antiterror summit
The UAE and Germany have co-chaired the fifth meeting of Working Group for Stabilisation of Counter-ISIL-Coalition. Faris Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Assistant Foreign Minister for Security and Military Affairs, led the UAE delegation. The participants discussed the latest developments and how to restore stability to the liberated areas from ISIS, also known as ISIL and Daesh, the training of Iraqi police and the role of women. They also tackled the latest developments in mine clearance and efforts of the UN Funding Facility for Immediate Stabilisation (FFIS). The UAE also announced the donation of Dhs36.7 million to support reconstruction and rehabilitation projects in Iraq.
