Government agencies to get hotel-style stars
Government departments in Dubai will now be given a hotel-style star rating. The directive was issued yesterday by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, who instructed that the system be implemented within one year. All services centres in government departments will be developed into centres for ‘customer happiness’ with a rating of up to six stars, state news agency WAM reported. Sheikh Hamdan unveiled the six-star rating plaque awarded to Dubai Business Club (DBC) located in Dubai’s Department of Economic Development (DED). He said: “Sheikh Mohammad views the UAE as the happiest country, and it is our job during the next phase to transform all government centres into centres for customer happiness. “Dubai has worked for decades on providing the best services to customers by continuously improving its infrastructure, facilities and logistics services. Government departments also sought to facilitate services offered to customers."
