Live a little and chill out Dubai people, goodbye
Being in the UAE with my family, especially in Dubai has given us beautiful memories and a really great life. Living in such a diverse city taught us many lessons and extraordinary experiences. We salute to the Rulers, the government and the police for providing a safe, secure environment to enjoy living in this beautiful city and the country at large. One request to all those expats living here, specially the 5 per cent who always see negative about this country, please try to focus on the peace and all the good you have achieved because of coming to work and live here. Be happy for being fortunate to come here. Don’t judge the country based on your experiences, it is the individuals living in the country that create situations in your life, mostly I should say expats. So live, let live and enjoy a peaceful life. God bless this country, the rulers and the people. God bless UAE, thank you and goodbye. Farrin Chandike Dubai enclosure that was not properly safeguarded against a child getting in. The parents were not watching their child as they should’ve been. Why did this gorilla have to die because of a situation that was not of its making? Yes, he was dragging the kid. But evidently not hard enough to kill a four-year-old after 10 minutes alone with him. Or even knock him unconscious. It could have killed him instantly with a tiny fraction of the force it is capable of producing. They should have attempted non-lethal means; I don’t see why the gorilla should have to pay for the mistakes of the parents, the people who made the enclosure, and the zoo/society which decides to display animals this way. You should accept that when you go to a zoo with some of the world’s most dangerous animals, tragedy might befall you. Especially if you’re not paying attention.
