Wrist injury forces Nadal out of Queen’s
Rafael Nadal’s wrist injury has forced him to withdraw from the Aegon Championships at Queen’s Club later this month. The Spaniard pulled out of the French Open last week with the same injury and said he was optimistic of playing at Wimbledon. However, he has now revealed that he will not play at Queen’s, which takes place from June 13-19, with Wimbledon beginning on June 27. “I am very sad that my wrist injury means that I cannot play at The Queen’s Club this year,” said Nadal. “I wish everyone at the tournament a great week and I look forward to returning in future years.” The 14-time Grand Slam champion has been warned the injury could take up to three months to heal in a worst case scenario.
