A pet is not a toy that you just throw away when you get bored of it

7 Days in Dubai - - DEAR 7DAYS... -

There are literally hundreds of pets being abandoned in Dubai each week - its getting to distressing, epidemic proportions at the moment, ahead of the summer exodus These poor dogs and cats are taken into families homes and once their use has been outlived they are left out on the streets in soaring heat with no food, water or shelter. There have been horrific reports of dogs actually been left locked inside villas with no A/C and the owners have disappeared. I cannot begin to understand how any caring, responsible person can torture another living creature in this way, but please please think before you take on the responsibility of a pet. A pet is for life, it is not a toy to be abandoned when you bore of it. Treat every living creature how you would wish to be treated and behave as a responsible human being. If you are struggling with looking after your animal there are luckily many volunteers and organisations who can try to help you.
