RTA’s if­tar drive

The Roads and Trans­port Au­thor­ity (RTA) will dis­trib­ute 3,000 if­tar meals ev­ery day dur­ing the Holy Month of Ra­madan. As part of its char­ity bus ini­tia­tive, the RTA will part­ner with the Beit Al Khair So­ci­ety to pro­vide 3,000 meals to bus and metro commuters as well as dis­tribut­ing 200 if­tar meals daily to driv­ers at bus sta­tions and park­ing in­spec­tors on duty. Moaza Al Marri, direc­tor of mar­ket­ing and cor­po­rate com­mu­ni­ca­tions, said the RTA will also be cam­paign­ing for a ‘Ra­madan With­out Ac­ci­dents’. She said: “The dis­tri­bu­tion of Ra­madan if­tar meals to mo­torists just be­fore Maghreb Athan with the aim of curb­ing ex­ces­sive speed and re­sul­tant crashes fits well with theme of the cam­paign.”
