“I’m absolutely horrified. The nerve of that restaurant to increase by 1 Dirham !!! and in a food court too where rental rates have risen by 1520% over the last year…? Don’t they understand YOU NEED YOUR SOUP AT THE SAME PRICE?!?!? Oh by the way … Soup in a food court restaurant isn’t classified as one of the ‘basic food items’ and is not subject to a ‘Ramadan price freeze’. Hope that helps.”

“It’s 1 dirham dude! I think you’ll survive think of the poor guy that clears your mess in the food court he needs a pay check and it’s gotta come from somewhere.”

“I noticed the same at the supermarket - rather than lowering stabilising prices of fruits and vegetables - it has spiked greatly! Tomatoes / Oranges selling at 2.5 - 3 have moved to 4.5 - 5! Likewise many other fruit and vegetable items as well. I don’t want to be unfair by asking markets to lower prices and incur losses but it can be stabilised to what it was rather than generating profits just because the intake becomes more during Ramadan!!”
