Fiji beat Samoa to win Pa­cific Na­tions Cup

Fly-half Sere­maia Bai kicked 16 points as Fiji came from be­hind to beat Samoa 26-16 and clinch vic­tory in the Pa­cific Na­tions Cup. Fiji trailed 16-3 ap­proach­ing half-time but a try for cap­tain Su­nia Koto closed the gap to six points and be­gan a come­back which gained strength through­out the sec­ond half. The vet­eran Bai kicked two penal­ties to draw the teams level at 16-16 af­ter 46 min­utes, then nudged Fiji ahead for the first time at 19-16 in the 63rd minute. Fiji then clinched vic­tory with a try by High­landers winger Pa­trick Os­borne. Bai added the con­ver­sion to fin­ish with six goals from six at­tempts.
