FLYER IN COURT OVER CABIN CREW SELFIE
An airline passenger pulled a flight attendant towards him and hugged and kissed her as he took a selfie, a court has heard. The Tanzanian man is accused of molesting the 25-year-old American employee on an Emirates Airline flight from Dar E Salaam to Dubai on April 22, 2016. Prosecutors told Dubai Court of First Instance the man asked for a picture with the attendant and she agreed. He then put his hands around her shoulder and hugged her, she said. “My supervisor yelled at the man for hugging me,” she said, adding the man asked to take the photo again. The stewardess said: “I stood next to him for the shot when he hugged me again and even kissed my neck.” Police were informed on landing and the passenger was arrested. The defendant has yet to enter a plea and the case has been adjourned. He faces up to a year in jail if convicted.
