Letter: We should have a platform where we can post pictures of bad drivers

7 Days in Dubai - - PEOPLE -

“Totally agree that something needs to be done about the driving standards in our city. But this isn’t the answer - 90% of people in cars are alone and therefore can’t use a phone because they are driving. I see dangerous and often deadly driving and behaviour on our roads everyday - speeding, no indicators, using phones, kids not strapped in (some even lay on the dashboard!!), lack of road knowledge and basically total disregard for others on the road. No one is a perfect driver, I know, but just a little more care could save a lot more lives!”

DUNCAN CHAPPELL

“People don’t care about anyone but themselves hence all the bad driving and law breaking. Best thing to do is dash cams. Let’s hope they adopt them.”

CARL DE VILLIERS

“I personally hate the idea. But motorists have demonstrated they just simply can’t be responsible behind the wheel. So that’s the solution. Imagine the revenue from this implementation!”

KRIS KUDLA

“I believe it’s something out of anyone’s business to take photos of violators and post it somewhere, you’re not responsible to apply the law or maintain it. Leave it to the police and the concerned parties to take care of their responsibilities.”
