Eid break announced for public sector
The Eid Al Fitr holiday will start next week. HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted that the public sector will have a one-week holiday to mark Eid, starting next Sunday. The decision was made at a Cabinet meeting yesterday. Sheikh Mohammed tweeted: “We have ordered that the Eid holiday for federal bodies will start on July 3 and they will return back to work on July 10.” It was not announced when the Eid holiday will begin for the private sector. In a series of tweets, Sheikh Mohammed also said the cabinet has ordered that national service recruits will be given priority when applying for government jobs. “This gesture is to thank them,” he wrote.
