Eid break an­nounced for public sec­tor

The Eid Al Fitr hol­i­day will start next week. HH Sheikh Mo­hammed bin Rashid Al Mak­toum, Vice Pres­i­dent and Prime Min­is­ter and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted that the public sec­tor will have a one-week hol­i­day to mark Eid, start­ing next Sun­day. The de­ci­sion was made at a Cabi­net meet­ing yes­ter­day. Sheikh Mo­hammed tweeted: “We have or­dered that the Eid hol­i­day for federal bod­ies will start on July 3 and they will re­turn back to work on July 10.” It was not an­nounced when the Eid hol­i­day will be­gin for the pri­vate sec­tor. In a se­ries of tweets, Sheikh Mo­hammed also said the cabi­net has or­dered that na­tional service re­cruits will be given pri­or­ity when ap­ply­ing for gov­ern­ment jobs. “This ges­ture is to thank them,” he wrote.
