More ho­tel rooms for Dubai

Dubai’s hos­pi­tal­ity in­dus­try will be boosted by 10,000 new ho­tels rooms in 2016, ac­cord­ing to a new study. The Dubai Ho­tel Mar­ket Over­view re­veals that 621 new ho­tel rooms opened in Dubai dur­ing the first quar­ter of the year and 9,400 ad­di­tional rooms will be added to the mar­ket by the end of 2016. The W Dubai - Al Habtoor City was launched on June 20 and up­com­ing open­ings in­clude the Lapita Ho­tel Dubai at Dubai Parks and Re­sorts; Hard Rock Ho­tel Dubai Ma­rina; Jumeirah Al Naseem, Mad­i­nat Jumeirah; and Nikki Beach Re­sort & Spa Dubai. “This is an im­por­tant and ex­cit­ing time for Dubai’s hos­pi­tal­ity and leisure in­dus­try,” said Gary Wil­liams, event director at dmg events, or­gan­iser of The Ho­tel Show Dubai. Alexander Sch­nei­der, GM of the Nikki Beach Re­sort & Spa Dubai, added: “More than 40,000 peo­ple vis­ited the Nikki Beach Club Dubai in its first three months of open­ing, and our ho­tel, vil­las, res­i­dences and the first Nikki Spa in the world will open here by the end of 2016.”
