Of­fi­cers strug­gle to ID head­less corpse

Po­lice are at­tempt­ing to iden­tify a head­less corpse that was dis­cov­ered in In­ter­na­tional City ear­lier this month,

The woman’s torso was found with the hands miss­ing and is yet to be iden­ti­fied. The woman was de­scribed as white, al­though pos­si­bly Chi­nese, in her thir­ties, 155cm tall and weighed an es­ti­mated 56kg. She was found wear­ing an Ara­bic-style dress and green adi­das trousers un­der­neath. Of­fi­cers said the body was dis­cov­ered at the be­gin­ning of June. A se­nior CID of­fi­cial said: “The killer left noth­ing to iden­tify the vic­tim, no fin­ger­prints and no head. “We are still try­ing to de­ter­mine if she is a res­i­dent or tourist. We think that she might be Chi­nese.” The Gen­eral De­part­ment for Foren­sics and Crim­i­nol­ogy at Dubai Po­lice is also try­ing to iden­tify the woman and de­ter­mine the cir­cum­stances.
