Good thing to come from England exit is end to Roy

7 Days in Dubai - - DEAR 7 DAYS... -

As an Englishman I feel compelled to write in today after watching our team lose to a country with a population of 330k people. Take nothing away from Iceland, they played well, as a team and with good spirit. I actually feel a bit sorry for the England players for once as I truly believe they could play well if continuity was there. What I cannot accept is our bungling FA picking a manager that no Englishman wanted in the first place (Harry was the man) and have to cringe through four years of knowing that this day was coming. Woy as we unfondly call him, picked the team to go to France, to the dismay of most knowing who he didn’t pick, then he picked the formation to play them in and then he foolishly continued with under par players. He is devoid of any technical ability and this showed in our players. A team is called a team for a reason. Iceland on the other hand didn’t have the luxury of a big squad but they have played as a team from day one in the Euros. I have supported England, Wales, Ireland and Rep Ireland all through and am now firmly hoping Wales can continue, no sour grapes from me. I as a passionate England fan, am delighted we are out because we got the biggest result of all, no more Woy Hodgson. Hopefully the new manager will get the best out of this potentially good crop. Born again Welshman UAE
