Car bursts into flames
One person was killed and eight others were injured in six traffic incidents since the beginning of the week, Dubai Police said. Colonel Jamal Al Bannai, deputy director of Dubai Traffic Police, said that on Sunday a lorry was speeding and the driver lost control on the wheel and ran-over a gardener who was on the side of Al Rabat Street. He died after suffering severe injuries. Later in the same day a Toyota hit a fence in the Hatta area, the car flipped over and burst into flames, with the driver suffering serious injuries. “Speeding and not paying attention to the roads were the main reasons behind these accidents,” Al Bannai told 7DAYS.
